I was raised in the south but have lived in San Francisco since 1987. My conservative upbringing combined with the liberal influences of the past 20-plus years has helped inform my political and cultural opinions.
I write about politics from an independent but passionate perspective and with the hope that others will be inspired and get involved.
I write about culture from the bleary-eyed view of a mother of two teenagers—sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying! Relationships and travel will also be frequent topics under the culture banner—two subjects very important to me because done right, they both give you the freedom to fly, as well as a real appreciation for home.
I am easily entertained so almost anything can show up in the entertainment category. I write screenplays and love movies, read voraciously, and delight in finding a great restaurant or cool new product.
